    finally my t9600 ES came in via-EMS today. i just took out p8400 and put this t9600 in and applied little bit of thermaltake tg-1.
    boot temperature is about 24c and idles at 28-32c. i've ran prime 95 for about an hour and max temperature was 58c, 56c.
    as for 3d mark 06 cpu score, it went from 2000 to 2500.
    pretty cool. too bad i couldn't really tell the difference for regular use or for gaming. :(
    darn.. i guess i was expecting too much out of this. 15-20% difference in cpu speed is hardly noticable. :eek:

    here's pics of my result. gpu isn't overclocked.
    do i need to undervolt it? if i don't, will it damage my system?

    Hmm... my CPU score in 3dmark is only like 1200 or something I think. And no, it isn't on powersave mode or anything like that. Its undervolted, but it always runs at max speed.

    is undervolting a must? is it safe to use 35w cpu without undervolting on with this laptop?

    Undervolting just adds on some battery life and drops temps.
    Though your temps look fine, so you don't have to if you don't need the little bit extra battery life.

    i posted mine on ebay already.
    i checked price online, new one is about $200 + shipping.
    i am guessing i can get around $170 to $180 since it's official one
    , not QS. of course, i would let it go for $150 or so if it's local pick up. -_-;;
