    Hey guys, looking to upgrade my 2ghz to something around the 2.6 range if possible. What processor would be compatible for sure, and do you know of a good website where I could get it for cheap? also what would be a good inexpensive ram to throw another one in, I've been recently trying to do some 3d painting in photoshop cs4 and the wait is killing me, even though I have the latest drivers from nvidia for the gpu. Thanks

    CPU

    2.4 = t8300
    2.5 = t9300
    2.6 = X7800 (OC to 3.0gHz)
    2.8 = x9000 (OC to 3.0gHz alot easier)

    RAM... it doenst matter.
    Any 4gb kit is pretty much the same as any other. Just get something with 667mHz speeds and a lifetime warrenty and you'll be doing good. We cant use 8gb kits unfortunatly due to hardware limitations.

    Though if you do alot of photoshop... you might want to look into a Solid State hard drive. It wont help much but when you run out of RAM and the system accesses the hard drive the solid state drive is an order of magnitude faster than a normal drive (but at a jump in price and a lack of capacity)
