    The lcd is last on my list to upgrade. I'll be upgrading my processor and hdd before anything else. My screen looks 'good enough' for now lol.

    Would this screen be compatible with the 6831fx? LTN170WU-L02

    That should work fine. It should be plug-n-play compatible. I'm using the LTN170WP-L02 myself (same family of LCD's, just different resolution).

    I'm still trying to figure out if the LP171WU5(TL)(A5) LED-backlit WUXGA display will fit in a 7811FX. LGs working seems to give me hope, but it'd be nice to know if someone else has tried it.
