    Hey all.
I just bought my first HDTV and am watching videos on it. However, I can't get the sound to go through my tv, even though it's hooked up via HDMI (which should carry audio and video).
Is this because of XP being installed? Or something else?

    please help!
    thanks.

you connect pc to hdtv direct ?
if you use a a/v receiver, might want to check if it supports hdmi audio.
