I see people saying they have swapped their lcd in the fx laptops. But, I don't see them say which screen they are really using and if it was a definate improvement.

I know there has been some discussion on this monitor:
    Samsung LTN170WU-L02 17" WUXGA 1920x1200 LCD
    Samsung LTN170WU-L03 17" WUXGA 1920x1200 LCD

Whats this difference between the 02 and the 03? Is there any? Anyone install this from the stock one and is it really lot better, like no bleeding?

Also I am thinking of this one
    LTN170WP-L02 17" LCD SCREEN
Its the lower resolution one though. Anyone install this one?

Also, is the installation of these lcds mentioned pretty straight forward, like a straight swap? Or is there any modification to make these fit?

Just trying to get this straight in my head before I order one of these lcd panels.

    Thanks for you help.

If those LCD's have been mentioned as compatible, it will be a straight swap. Just follow the directions for installing and it will be pretty straight foward, possibly not that easy, but it will be straight foward.
