peeps i have a strange problem...my p7805-u is running sweetly and all, but i somehow am unable to run cs 1.6!

This is very weird, as I have seen people reporting that it is able to run on their p7805-u's. I run it in compatibility mode (must be done for 64bit vista apparently), and all i get is the menu background, with no sound or menu options. I have been searching the net for ages, to no avail.

Maybe it is my non-steam version of cs that I use? But I have tried different versions, all producing the same non-responsive background image. these same versions work fine on others vista machines.

I have tried many things like forcing refresh rates and resolution, using DOX drivers instead of the normal ones, but nothing has worked. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance
