    Just dl'ed these drivers and they run ok, but the nvidia control panel has disappeared. Any ideas?

    disappeared in what way? from the right click context menu? or if you check your program files listing under nvidia from the start panel?

    If the Nvidia Control Panel is not in Start - Control Panel, it's probably not installed.

    You can try Run: C:\Windows\System32\nvcplui.exe
