Hello, guys and gentleladies. I have been lurking a bit about to try to find a solution to this, but had no luck with that. So I hope I could direct my problem to you, in case you some hints as to how to fix it.
In the beginning, I didn't quite notice it, but after some time, I realised that my games lag, even though my settings aren't that high. (like in Team Fortress 2 for example) My friend, who has somewhat similiar specs on his laptop (difference is less RAM, a bit older graphocs card, and slightly better CPU), is getting good results with all settings set to high.
I was just wondering what the problem might be? Could it be that I have Vista 64 bit? Or shouldn't that be a problem? I have downloaded the latest graphics-driver from Gateways website. So is there anything I could try? Cause this is really irritating me.
Thanks for your attention.![]()

Check out latest GPU drivers from here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=258626
And moniter your GPU and CPU temp while gaming.

RETURN IT TO BEST BUY AND TELL THEM ITS OVERHEATING after 1 hours of gaming. Theres no way you can CTRL+ALT+DEL, ALT+F4, STICKY KEYS (TAPPING SHIFT 5 TIMES), Fn+Esc,.. out of it.
Tell them you have read about such issues on their websites review and getting a replacement is what others have done and thats what you want too. -
U, what do you mean by lag? Low framerates? Or you keep getting fragged by your buddies because your system doesn't respond fast enough? If it is the latter, get the latest 5100 driver from Intel here-> http://downloadcenter.intel.com/fil...64-bit+version&lang=eng&strOSs=162&submit=Go!
If it is a framerate issue, then I'm sure you'll find plenty of threads posted in the last couple of days on that issue. Also check the Gaming forum. -

I can't find any other threads on just my problem. I have found something similiar, but mostly, people seem to have problem with specific games.
Could I just ask you what kind version driver you guys have? Or if you have LapTop2go or the xtreme-G driver (and in that case, what version)? Are you certain 64Bit Vista shouldn't be a problem?
