i got mine brand new from moogr.com back in march for 290 with shipping. they were having some kind of sale.
idle as low as 20C with AS5, UV'ing, and laptop cooler -
i just bought mine off ebay yesterday for $245+$10ship= $255. I am in no rush to upgrade to T9300 b/c out the box w/ stock processor, i think 68xx series runs like champs. I've been looking at the prices thought contantly for the past couple months and saw this deal and couldnt pass it up.
do an ebay search on this item number 290245317606
Seller has 5 more but has pulled the listing off ebay. If you want u can contact that seller directly and see when he will put up the rest of the 5 back up for sale.
But basically, do your price comparison and whatever price range you can afford, go get the T9300 b/c as you know, there are alot of great news about it through this forum -
I got mine from a laptop I bought at Circuit City, which I promptly yanked the processor out of and returned.
Yes. Im kidding.
Mine came from newegg.com -
i went with newegg as well . was pondering a OEM version but figured for the bit of extra cash the manufacturer warranty was nice to have incase it decides to flake out .

update- ordered on eBay 7/15, received at my office 7/16 exactly 24hrs after purchase. guessed they hooked me up on shipping. however was shipped in a bubble wrap sleeve- no box so looks like oem. will have to test it when newegg decides to ship me my as5 (pass 10 business days already- weird) -

I guess I should break down and buy one... I don't ever, ever order things online. I will hunt down the best local deal, and buy there... but, no one carries mobile CPU's around here, so I may have no choice. (If only Fry's would carry mobile CPU's)
-
never buy online ???
thats sick dude -
-
After that, I just pay the premium to buy in person. -

How would they even know? When I returned my HP last year, they charged me 15% and never even opened the box.
It could actually work... -
LOL. I know. There have been people return whole laptops with nothing but heavy household junk in the box. As long as it looks sealed (anyone could do this with clear packing tape), they generally don't even open it. Kinda funny, actually. Although, I wouldn't wanna be the one getting caught doing such things, so I find it best to refrain.

just use a hairdryer to make those round stickers they put on the opening loose and lift it up.then just be very careful.if they find out it's missing and ask just question it and say you never opened it.

Buy a notebook with a T8300/9300. Go home, replace it with your T5550, installing the 9300/8300 in the P-FX. Then, take the new notebook back to BB, and throw a huge fit about how the notebook doesn't have any of the internals you were promised. Not only will you have a new CPU, but you will get your money back, and most likely get the restocking fee waved.

LOL. You just KNOW some reader is gonna try this, except hes gonna do it all wrong, tear the box all to hell, scar the laptop all up, get caught and be banned from Best Buy/Circuit City/BillyBob's Electronics Depot forever.
