Its not been a huge problem but I would still like to fix it... When I watch full screen video after a minute or so the video performance takes a huge hit and pretty much turns into a slideshow. I havent really tested out any DVDs yet but I suspect that its an issue with internet videos because thats always when the problem has cropped up, and it happens every time. I dont think its a connection problem because the video runs fine if it is in a window. For example, i can stream Hulu video in HD to near full screen if I use the Pop Out option and watch it in its own window and the video runs fine. If I select Full Screen though it runs fine for a bit then gets unwatchable. I have tried restoring the computer to factory defaults and have updated the video drivers using the driver thread posted at the top of this forum to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, a fix to it? Thanks!

is it like slightly choppy, you see like lines through it, when it plays or when fast movements in the video are made.

also see the fix that you (wildbill) posted, how does it actualy work, why would you want to downclock

Thanks for that suggestion but it didnt seem to fix anything. Actually, I dont know if it even changed any settings because I am getting the following message when I try to run it:

Powermizer settings not found. Apply fix? (may not work with old drivers)

then when I actually try to make changes I get this message:

    To stephen:

it goes from 30 fps to like, 1 fps. And its permanent, until I exit full screen mode. Then the video is playing fine again. If I go back into full screen, it works OK for a minute or so again, then its back to poor performance.

Duh. I should've thought to do that in the first place. I am still getting accustomed to Vista and its quirks.
In any event, thanks WildBill. Once I ran it as an admin and made the changes, the video seems to be working fine.

Understand this is nVidia's fault with their drivers. nVidia drivers should have the capability when video is playing to at least go to midlevel powermizer. This doesn't say much for the new ION for netbooks as they may use this, powermizer, there too..............

DOX drivers have the option built-in. I cant say for sure if Vista/7 have it because I simply don't remember, but with XP I have the powermizer in Nvidia Control Panel just like it should be.
