    is the gpu in this laptop interchangeable for future upgrades?

    quick answer to your quick question: all GPUs on gateway laptops are not interchangeable.

    it doesn't matter, non of gateway laptops can upgrade GPUs.

    Most laptops cannot be upgraded this way, sorry. Doesn't matter which notebook he has.

    the toshiba x305, as well as numerous other models offer an upgradeable GPU. No need to make a misleading blanket comment such as that.

    Actually there are gateway models that has a proper MXM slot.

    He said "most"...which he is correct. There is a very small number of units that has the ability to be upgraded. I would say less that 2-3% of laptops so far can have there gpu upgraded...Look at that table I posted (I know its incomplete)...its very small compared to the tons of laptops in the market.

    not trying to split hairs..but there are plenty that can be upgraded. It's just a matter of how determined you are. And that list is a small representation, by a sales site that is not often updated.
