How do I get the proccesor in the 7405gx to run full speed on battery? Is there something I have to download or is it in the settings?

Arima designed the machine that way to prevent the battery from prematurely burning out. If you really want to run it at fooll speed, search for "Power Now" in these or the AMD forums...

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?

You mean the actual battery or just the battery life(1-3 hours)? hmm. I thought I seen a few posts of people running on full speed on the battery; I guess just not all the time?

Both. Run time is shortened and the stress on the battery contributes to pre-mature battery failure.

If you were to get the system to run at full speed on battery, you 'might' get an hour of battery life. Most likely, you'd only get half an hour though. Plus, the stress on the battery from such a drain will shorten its life expectancy.
