    my laptop started go nuts.. i think its the motherboard its a gateway 450sx4. Alot of my friends are telling me to sell the thing as is.. for about $1100 since the mobo is only about 260 and get a dell. What do you think?

    You could try that, I don't know who would pay that much for a broken notebook though.
