i just got my notebook refurbished and i need some help due tot he fact that it did not come with a manual and such.

what do all those keys do (the fn. such as fn-f1 fn-f2 fn-f3 fn-f4 fn-f6 fn-f8)

is there a way to just turn off the screen to conserve power when i download things?

would the zelman nc2000 fit this?

on the touch slide volume control is there a way to allow it to show on screen when i adjust it? kinda allowing during gaming.

would this hdmi cable work on my sharp aquos e77 series? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3012948&CatId=3659

when charging while my notebook is off how do i know if its fully charged.

The User Guides and Manuals are h e r e wa.

You could change the screen saver to "blank" while downloading.

    Zelman NC2000 fix what?

I do not believe the volume control will show on the screen, but maybe someone else knows the trick.

That looks like the right cable to me, assuming your Sharp has hdmi input.

Little lights on the front - see the manual for details.

FN+F1 = Turns off status lights (I do this instantly after powering on laptop)
    FN+F2 = WIFI (I think)
FN+F4 = Switches to external monitor (Video driver must be installed and loaded)

Instead of going with a blank screensaver, just change the power options to turn off the display. If you run a blank screensaver, you're adding a process to run and compute in the background. I have had several instances where screensavers have messed up programs running in the background, even when the screensaver is as simple as a blank screen. Setting the power options to turn off your display will do just that, turn off your screen, and nothing more. No additional processes in the background, no chance of any software being affected in any way (Unless it requires the screen to be on).

Yes the Zalman NC2000 works great with these laptops and fits. You will have to turn the NC2000 around 180° (It will be backwards) and the laptop will be tilted slightly downward, but you can do other things like prop up the back of the cooler or prop up the back of the laptop if it bugs you. Several people including myself have also modded the NC2000 (Directing airflow) to be even more efficient for the P78** series.

Assuming the P7805 lights are the same as the P7801, when it is fully charged and plugged in there will be a blue status light on the FRONT of the notebook. When it is CHARGING the light will be purple. If there is no light, it is either NOT charging, or the laptop is ON and you pressed FN+F1 to turn off the status lights. I do not know any way to turn off the charging lights when the laptop is off (Besides unplugging the LEDs).
