    so i bought my fx on tigerdirect refurbished a couple of months ago and lately when i game it crashes and ill have to do a hard shut down :'[. the screen will pause and it sounds like a scratched cd. but sometimes when it crashes it recovers within a couple of seconds.

    it even happens when i begin playing for only about 20 mins. and i only play war3(dota) which i think doesn't require that much to run.

    any ideas whats wrong with my notebook?

    oh and after this happens my notebook begins to run really slow on jsut doing simple stuff, web browsing etc..

    you could try contacting tigerdirect for support, depending on your warranty i guess.
    i think it could be a HDD problem, im not an expert or anything like that.
    do you have two HDD or have you tried changing it?
    you should better wait for someone more experienced
