hi everyone i have a few questions about my notebook that have been bothering me.

on the touch volume control is there a way to make something appear that informs me what level my volume is when i use the touch control?

also when my notebook is about to die it does that not inform me and always hard shuts off my notebook when im gaming. anyway to solve this problem?

also when i hook up my notebook to my tv with an hdmi cable is there a way so that i can use the sound from my notebook instead of my tv? so that i can use my computer speakers.

    thanks in advance!

    For volume control try 3RVX
About notebook shutting down. The reason is because of overheating. Try cleaning up the fans and clearing the vents. If possible apply thermal compound like ICD7.
You can play the sound from the laptop while using HDMI using the sound properties in the control panel.

To go more in detail. Go into sounds options in the control panel and find when it shows all the different types like HDMI high definition, or speakers. Disable the HDMI and then enable the speakers. After that restart whatever thing u were using with sound and it should be running off speakers.

Shouldn't Windows inform you? Have you looked at your advanced power plan settings?

That's not what he means, he means that when he's playing a full screen game his battery notifications are disabled or not seen because of the game. I don't know if it's possible to workaround this other than finding an application to do it. But I would just think that's one extra process I don't want, I'd just keep an eye on the battery myself. I guess you could try something like this, I found two programs to do it.
    This is free:

This is free to try with a $1~$6 price after 30 days depending on the license you want:

Alright. lol Well I agree on that point, I don't usually game on battery unless it's something light. I don't mind using it for browsing and stuff though, it does come with a 9-cell, might as well make use of it. =P

Oh, definitely use the batt for browsing and stuff when out and about. But if I'm gaming, I usually have my wifi Xbox360 controller linked and headphones on and near a power source. I couldn't really play any other way now.

oh and another question. uhm when i hook my notebook up to my tv (using an hdmi cable) for some reason on my tv things do not line up correctly. its actually a little bit bigger so like i can barely see the windows start button on the bottom left corner. and the tv is a samsung ln40b530 if that helps.

I had the same problem with maybe the same TV, at least a similar one. All you have to do is change the screen format to automatically adjust the aspect ratio. There should either be a setting or button on the controller called "format" press it until you have selected the option "Just Scan".
