    someone has installed windows 7 on a P6831 -FX?

    I have an P6831 I need to know if someone has this laptop running windows 7, please I need a list of the drivers that this one uses on this OS.

    because I'm going to do a clean install of windows 7 on this laptop,

    I believe P6860FX should be similar. For me, I downloaded intel wireless and chipset drivers from intel.com. For the camera I believe u can download vista driver from Gateway.

    yeah, that's my problem I'm very worry about drivers after the instalation :S

    thanks for the info.

    if someone else have more info, but about the p6831, I'll be so gratefull

    6831 = 6860. The only difference is the stock CPU and the stock RAM

    The drivers are identical and win7 installs flawlessly on it. About the only things i dont let win7 handle is the GPU driver and by extension the HDMI output. Other than that from a fresh install i dont think i actually installed any of my drivers that win7 didnt "think" were the best. From an upgrade it should work with out any issues


    (oh yeah i forgot about the SD card reader driver. You have to install that one as well)
