I have this gateway t-1616 that is working perfectly and has no problem.
but every now and then after windows vista loads (startup) I get
a blue screen with a tcp.sys error and windows is restarted and then
all work perfect for few days!

There is like a bluescreen then crash dump at the bottom that goes from 5% to 100% then the laptop restarts after that everything is alright for another few days then it happens again, kinda annoying

when i get on windows i really dont see anything wrong, no random errors or crashes or bugs, just bluescreen reset then everything is alright the another few days bluescreen then reset.

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a solution to it?

    Kind Sir:

I have a T-1622 that has the same issue. BSOD for it seems like no reason. IF you are running McAfee OEM (came with your notebook) that seems to be the issue. McAfee's support forums show this to be an issue with Many different laptops. All of them have the OEM installed free McAfee trial SW. I have many different computers and got rid of the OEM and installed My McAfee total protection and have had luck SO FAR!!!!! I was pulling my hair out over this. The Vista Problem reports kept saying it was McAfee's issue without a soulution.

I hope this helps and I will change over my protection on ALL our computers soon. McAfee says it is in investigation of the issue.

so all i have to do is remove mcafee and it will stop BSOD every now and then? lol my mcafee has had a MAJOR update recently (yesterday) and it hasnt BSOD YET, so il wait if it does il uninstall mcafee,

btw i love mcafee, saved two of my computers that avg or norton couldnt, some trojan virus. downside, mcafee is a start up hog. now im rethinking lol

    thanks again.
