    with 3DMax I get around 41C-42C max for CPU (T9800 from extremeprocessors) of course I have Zalmon Mod + Undervolting for it. Before I did undervolting I had around 46C to 47C

    I know.. I am looking to find out if the 10k+ score was just from upping the CPU to a T9800, or if the GPU was also tweaked. :)

    Probably a bit of both. ;) Definitely a huge part cause of the upgraded CPU.

    see personally to me i don't think the extra 300 points is worth the extra $200 for the processor difference. But, then again that's just me. Doesn't seem cost effective for the performance increase.

    That's exactly what I think. The only few benefits of a more powerful processor are that it cuts down the processing time for video editing and CPU intensive tasks like that. Apart from that, the points don't mean a thing.

    300? After upgrade, I got from 8500 to 9700 ....
    I don't really care about 3D Mark scores though, I see real improvement in daily tasks and some games I play.

    Of course if you're just doing some web surfing and light tasks, you won't need an upgrade...
