I'm going to Switzerland for a year, and will be trucking my laptop along, the power supply is rated 100-240V 2.0A.

Switzerland has 2 plug, the standard 2 prong Euro one and a 3 prong variant. Will it matter if I get a 2 prong or a 3 prong adapter for the power supply?

No you'll be fine as they are 240V.

Yes small devices like laptops will work just fine with an int'l plug.

Well, the P6831 does have a grounded plug, this may be a personal matter to you or not. As others, the adapter works fine off 220V as stated on adapter.
