I have a gateway p-7908u, this noise started after a few months, it wasnt there before, that why Im kind worried.

It 'tecks' in the right size, in the bottom of the lid, when in a certain angle( I guess 60 degrees), just when closing the lid, if you put your hand on the base of the lid when closing, you can fill it...

Its clear to me thats the problem is something is touching another thing, its not a huge noise, but it wasnt there before...What can be the cause? Should I be worried ? Anyone have this problem?

Doesn't sound like a serious problem to me. It is probably just the hinge going bad. You could always remove the screen. (See the sticky post on taking apart your computer.)

Sorry the long..but Im kind afraid of opening the notebook..how could I get to the hinge? If I just remove the screen front part(not the entire lid), could it help to see if something is in the wrong place?
Anyone have idea of what can be touching another thing? I do am very concerned, its a new notebook, it shouldnt start make this noise for no reason..
