    tick noise in 7805

    I just got my gateway p-7805 and I hear this small ticking noise if I listen closely, is this normal, it comes and goes and is usually not there. It sounds like someone clipping their nails but much quieter. Any ideas, should I be worried? I cannot take it back unless its actually defective because its a 4 hour drive to best buy and they have none left.

    EDIT: better example: If you have relatively moist fingers apply moderate pressure on the gateway fx laptop box and listen to the sound of your finger when you lift it(the sound of it unsticking).

    It's probably the HD's drop sensor parking the head, if it sounds almost like a droplet of water, then that's what it is, and it's normal.

    ok thanks. Quick question is the 3dmark test that plays after the tree supposed to be only going 1 frame per second?

    ok thanks! If anyones wondering I clicked on crysis gpu benchmark and got 34 average fps. I dont exactly know what setting its on though.


    EDIT: WORKS BEAUTIFULLY ON HIGH!!!
