    open control panel
    click on hardware and sound
click on sound, which opens a new window
right click on speakers, select properties
    click on enhancements tab
    check equalizer box
    change setting to treble
    click on dolby tab
check natural bass box and turn bass all the way up

this made my speakers significantly louder on my p-7915u and still sounds decent

I see a loudness equalizer check box but I do not see a treble setting or a dolby tab.

those options are not on my p7805 so its most likely a p79 thing. anyway i use srs audio sandbox which works on almost all laptops. it also makes it sound much better not just louder

right above the loudness equalization box, there's a "equalizer" box. it's on mine anyway.

after further listening, it really doesn't sound that great this way. it is louder, but sounds slightly distorted

i checked out srs audio sandbox, but didn't get very far. it costs $25 bucks. i wonder if there's a free alternative. i looked at dfx audio enhancer, but it doesn't look like it does anything for games

i strongly think that $25 is worth it but its not like its a blind buy because they do offer a trial period for you to test it out.

it makes a pretty dramatic difference especially if your laptop has weak speakers like for example my bro has real weak speakers on his g50vt-x1 but this program helped alot.
