    is there a web site that could show me diagrams on how to remove the key board face off of my gate way the power button is stuck in the down position. I've removed all the screw i can see but it still won't come off . thanks for your help

    1. I have never heard anyone use the term "keyboard face" before? What are you talking about?

    Either there are more screws or you need to use more force.

    Ive never seen a plastic shell over a keyboard. If there was how would one type?

    Where is the power button on your notebook? If you have it on a small panel just ahead of the keyboard (between the keyboard and the screen), you just need to remove that panel. On some notebooks the panel just snaps on or slides into place, but on most there will be screws somewhere holding it on. Look on the back of the hinges and if the battery is underneath this section, remove the battery and check under there as well.

    I don't know which notebook you have, but it might be worthwhile to Google for "Gateway [enter your model name] service manual."
