It failed to install on a fresh installation of Windows 7. It said the hardware was not compatable. this is on my new 7805u.

Nvidia says this is a DESKTOP computer driver... so maybe this is why it will not work on my 7805u notebook computer.

Did you remember to use a modified INF while trying to install? You can't just use any driver you find on the net unless you modify the INF first.

the LAPTOP link page said NOTHING about needing to modify the INF. they should at least warn us beginners. so now I have to worry this failed driver installation will cause a bug in my computer.... back to the old drawing board. Format and new fresh Installation of Windows 7... seems like I can find about any reason to format my hard drive. :confused2:

Why dont you just install normal NON-BETA drivers, you don't have to fresh install Windows 7 again. As the DESKTOP drivers didn't install to begin with you have no problems. :)
