nope just a little undervolting which didnt help much even if i lowered the volts a little i got a bsod. putting icd7 and making that mod where the fan sucks in air, thats about it. i was surprise to i thought it was the environment temps but they where the same when both temps where recorded.

Your GPU before at 91 degrees is not OUTRAGEOUS but yes high..too high for my liking..what stood out was your CPU cores! in the 80's!!Whaaat. Maybe your Cores were compensating for the strain being put on your GPU (since the HD2600 may not handel COD4 at max very well. But the undervolting must have taken a toll on your FPS and performance/quality. Overall Great job! My cores never reach over 58 and hover around 51-54 during intense gaming. My GPU is at 75-81 MAX..Your GPU is running cooooooool ; )

Your HD runs nice as well...mine idles at 45-50 and maxes at 52...wonder why that is? I mean its not BAD but it could be lower like around 40. Any ideas from anyone why it sticks around 50?

Ok what i did to get these amazing results
u thought these temps were bad u should of seen them before i started modding completely my gpu went to 106C and of course turned off(lol)
1.replaced the thermal paste and thermal pad with ICD7
2.undervolted which took a while to get right all multipliers set to 0.95 max 0.97
3.modded the bottom so the components can get better airflow Aka. bunch of holes ... didnt look nice so i bought a notebook cooler and took it apart to take away the fan grill and took apart my screen from my house window to use it as a filter
4.cleaned out my vents and heatsink fan.
5.sanded down the heatsink where the cpu made contact
(should of seen it before i sanded could even get of the crappy thermal paste off nor see my reflection)sanded it to see my beautiful self ;)
6.Bought myself a antec notebook cooler which seems to compliment the modded bottom cover where the heat sink fan takes in cold air, it now sucks in air much more efficiently now ... even without the notebook cooler my laptop fan seems to enjoy the extra breathing holes....i was a little skeptic at first thinking that the mod didnt do all of a difference so put a towel covering the modded area to my expectations my temps went from max 68 to 78 max i was amazed of my results.
ex.I was playing fallout 3 medium settings for an hour without me noticing that the notebook cooler was not connected i went quickly to check on my temps and found out that the notebook cooler being ON only made a minuscule drop difference in my temps i was like daaaammmmm!!!!! so me taking risks really paid of in the end..now i dont use my notebook cooler but will during super hot summer days ;)

Nice! I've thought about drilling the hard drive cover to give it more airflow, but I am not that great of a craftsman... I really don't want to mess it up lol. One mod that I did that might help you as well is that I bought rubber feet online (3m makes some called bumpons) which raises the laptop higher off the desk than the factory rubber feet. It's got my hard drive cooler by 3~4 degrees and my CPU/GPU fan seem to be able to draw more air because they are about 5 degrees cooler as well.

yea that was one design drawback of the laptop, there wasnt enough space between the bottom and the surface for alot of cool air to be drawn, foudn it helped when I had mine aswell.
