    check out the multiplier.. it's jumping up and down from x9 to x6.
    more than half of the time, it's at x6 which makes my processor speed
    1.6ghz.. at first, i thought it's just cpu-z but core temp and all other app detects it same way. i understand cpu clocks down when not needed but even duing the game installation process or when i am using cpu heavy programs, it all same.. =(
    is something wrong with my p-7805u?

    i already did when i first got laptop. but it's still the same..
    isn't there anyway to lock the cpu speed at stock speed?

    You could use RMclock to set multiplier 8x.
