it says q9100 quad-core and work on pm45/gm45 chipset which p-7805u has.
i currently have t9600 equipped on my 7805u and it has pm45 set.
yeah.. it's 2.8ghz dual core vs 2.26 quad.. speed seems a little slow and since not many programs are taking full advantage of quad-core yet so i am
still thinking whether this is upgrade or downgrade.

First there is no quad core support for the p78xx laptops yet. So wait for a new bios to support it. Second you have to verify if your laptop was equipped with a heatsink in where it will cover both dies of the quad core. I dunno if this has been verified yet.
