is it worth updating to the newer os? if so would it increase/improve gaming performance? to the guys and gals that upgraded to 64 bit with their retail fx's did your window product key work with microsoft when you requested the 64 bit vista discs (if you requested the discs via microsoft.com)? microsoft did not recognize my product key for some reason- unless i got the directory confused?
3 gig ram vs. 4 gig ram for gaming?
I was just wondering since ram was going for like 50 bucks- 2 gig strip.

I think so I really enjoy having a Vista 64 on my laptop the 4GB of RAM adds a nice gaming boost.

You can't order just the disc with an OEM license, it HAS to be retail. That's why it won't recognize your product key.

It's debatable whether you will see noticable gaming improvement. All benchmarks will point to your video card for gaming performace.
