Wasn't too sure where to put this so I'll put it here. I have a Gateway MT3705 with an Intel Core Duo T2250 @ 1.73 GHz. But the lowest wprime score I can get it about 101 seconds. I have threads set to 2 and i checked my processes and there are 46 running and cpu usage just sitting at the desktop is between 0 and 5%. This is what wprime reports I have:

    Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2250 @ 1.73GHz
    Core: Yonah C0
    Clock: 798.9 MHz
    Vcore: 1.263 V
    FSB: 532.6 MHz
    L2 Cache: 2048 KB

    Memory: 2048 MB DDR2
    Frequency: 266.5 MHz @ 4-4-4-12

    Mainboard: Gateway unknown

Is the clock speed only coming up as about 800MHz because it isnt under load and it is throttled back? I know the wprime score is just a number but when I read reviews and see the list of scores I see:

    Samsung R20 (Core Duo T2250 @ 1.73GHz) 47.563s

My best score is over double that. Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure that you are plugged in to AC power.

And you have everything set to max performance (rather than on Power Saving)

Bring up task Manager click on the "Performance" tab, make sure it displays both CPU's run wprime and watch and confirm both CPU's are working 100%.

i noticed in NHC the CPU clock speed is only recognized as 798 MHz on the status tab under the CPU tab the clock speed is about the same but it fluctuates by a few. however it never goes over 798. and if i try to change the power setting to high performance or dynamic switching i get "error on chaning cpu speed". it only allows me to use battery optimized or max battery. under the voltage tab next to a question mark in a bubble is says Intel Core Duo Processor 1729 MHz (666 FSB). Then at the bottom it has current CPU settings

    Clock: 798 MHz Multiplier: 6x Voltage: 0.9500 V

cpu-z also only reports core speed as 798 Mhz and it fluctuates a little too. under specification it correctly lists it as a T2250 @ 1.73 GHz. cpu-z also says it has Bus Speed: 133 MHz and Rated FSB: 532.1 MHz. Are these two added to get the 666MHz?

Are these clock speeds being reported as such because the the stepping?

on a side note i have a question about my memory. cpu-z reports it is pc2-5300 which i thought was 667MHz but it only shows up as 333MHz. Also it only reports as single channel should it be dual? I have attached some pictures of screen shots if ive confused anyone.
