I can get the t9300 off ewiz for 210 right now and the x7800 off of ebay for 220 right now. Which one is better for gaming. I am only going to be gaming nothing like encoding.
    Thanks

the x7800 has its multiplier unlocked for overclocking but I doubt that the overlocking will make a difference in most games as the bottleneck will be your graphics card.

    t9300.

It will run cooler, has double the cache, and is a more efficent chip than an x7800.

The only time the x7800 will be superior is when pure clock speed actually matters.

Sorry I did not answer your message yet... I have been pretty busy and only get on for a few minutes at a time. Overall, when you take into consideration price, performance, cooling, etc I would most def recommend the T9300 for your FX. I actually got mine from a site called ITXchange refurbished for about $200, and that was a year ago. I just checked the website again and they had refurbs for about $130 but it seems they were just recently bought. Google the company and search for "T9300" and you will see what I mean.

Excellent, be prepared for cooler temps and a snappier overall system.

    You'll be pleased i think.
