    can i change the original processor from the p-6860 to a X9100??

    Need a Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset to use the X9100 due to the FSB(Frontside Bus)of "1066"

    The Extreme CPU for your Gateway is a Core 2 Extreme X7800 2.60MHz or a
    Core 2 Extreme X7900 2.8MHZ

    Check this list out

    You might be able to get a X9000 not really sure if Gateway came out with a BIOS update for the P-6860

    i saw some guys here in the forum that they put the x9000 in their laptops but i wanted to know if it would be able to put a x9100
