I was doing some checking and it looks like there was a firmware update released last month for all form factors of the Crucial M550's. Can't confirm that it has resolved my issue yet but something to try...
Release notes: http://www.crucial.com/wcsstore/Cru.../crucial-m550-iso-firmware-update-mu02-en.pdf
Download: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-ssd Select the dropdown and select Crucial M550 SSD (all form factors)
You will need a Zalman Virtual CD emulator or a way to create a bootable USB stick or burn and boot from a disc. You will also need to go into the BIOS and go to the last tab and select something like "Default for Windows 7" so it disables UEFI so you can boot from it. After it upgrades to MU02 it will restart.

Yup. Didn't fix the issue. Legitimately a bad motherboard. Randomly on start up it will not boot even though the RAID-0 array shows 100% healthy. Turn it off and on a few times and eventually it boots.

What's wrong with the first aorus that you returned? Just curious if it's the same issue ......
-
What's wrong with the first unit that you returned? was it the same issue?
-
No. This is an issue specific to this the other one had an issue with the headphone port locking out the speaker randomly and the creaking when moving the screen annoyed the hell out of me

I'm on my first 4 days with this new X3 plus v3. I just received a blue screen, which made it restart. Upon restart I kept getting thrown into the bios. It would not load windows. Had to restart the machine 5 times before it would load windows. I'm going to do some test with restarting to make sure I don't get the issue again... maybe it was just from my blue screen *cringe*

Blue Screens are usually hardware 75% of the time. The other 25% is faulty drivers. I did get a single blue screen on that unit but if it keeps going into BIOS sounds like you are exhibiting the same symptoms as me. Leave the machine off for 4+ hours and then boot it up and see if it boots straight to BIOS or not.
-
Did yours go to bios quite consistently? I have been having it on and off all weekend and hadn't experienced this particular issue until the blue screen. Gosh I hope the bios doesn't pop up any longer, I really like this laptop... ;-p
-
It goes to BIOS on a cold boot. I need to actually power it off and on a few times to get it to boot up normally.
-
whilst i agree that it means hardware or drivers. when ever i did rarely get a blue screen on the other laptops i had it was always video driver related. but not that often. but i do wonder why its happning for you guys.
i have a weird issue with my other laptop though but it only seems to happen with the hybrid sshd. when it goes into hybernate i resume it and it loads up and acts like the drive is blank. then i have to restart it pretty much manually and then when i power it back on it loads up fine. but its annoying. i dont know if this is because of windows 8.1 but i know when on win 7 and i used a normal hhd or ssd it never does it on resume so if you could shed some light on to why then that be cool thanks. -
Go into power options and see if hybrid sleep in on and turn it off, see if it fixes it.
-
mines fine i re pasted my laptop with artic 5 paste its good and no more squeaking just loose the two screws closest to the vents.
-
So I haven't had any boot issues since my blue screen. I'll keep y'all posted if it happens again.

I woke up in the middle of night to see my laptop on the boot screen and fans blazing . I tried to exit out of bios without saving and it rebooted back to bios a few times. Finally i decided to hit save changes and it booted back to Windows. Havent encountered any issues with booting to bios or BSOD since

i had some trouble at the start with mine just do a restore with the recovery file and all is well
For anyone having boot issues on the Aorus X3+ V3
