    Hey everybody,

    I really like the Aero 15(X)! It is a powerful notebook, but without screaming "I AM A GAMER!".
    One thing though, the notifications from Smart Manager, they are big, ugly and it feels like a user-interface back from the 00s.
    That's why I designed a minimal (windows 10 alike) interface for the on-screen notifications.
    I didn't want to keep this just for myself, so I am sharing this with you!

    Thank you for this, I have this installed on my Aero 14 and it worked great.

    One little bug I did notice, if you use Fn+F10 to toggle the touchpad, the notifications just states "Touchpad OFF" regardless of whether your are turning it on or off.

    Hey Viper,

    I am sorry, the file is not a virus.
    The file is not digitally signed which makes the file "suspicious", that's why you have to perform extra steps when downloading and running it. (Takes quite some work to digitally sign it and haven't had the time yet).

    If you download with chrome you can click on the little arrow down (^) and say 'keep file'.

    Also, when running in windows click 'more info' at the warning screen and then there is a option 'run anyway'.

    Hi. This is great. I have one suggestion. I am unable to block windows 10 automatic OSD for volume. Is there a way you could include a version that disables the volume OSD on smart manager so I dont have two volume windows popping up? maybe by not including the skin file in the code or something?

    This metro skin, matching Windows 10 would be a great start.
    Also, if you could remove the delay / interruption while these are displayed would be great. What I mean is I can't continue typing until the on screen indicators are shown.
    Perhaps an option to disable all screen feedback would be great.

    Indeed, it got detected by virus scanners while it's not a virus. I've recompiled the file with the latest version and now my virus protection says it's a safe file. Hope this works for you too otherwise, I have to figure something else out.

    I installed the no_sound version. Interestingly, it displays a constant Brightness screen at 50% while adjusting the volume...

    Nice clean overlay otherwise ;)

    Updated the icon of keyboard brightness and typos in version 0.5.0!


    I've notified the weird bug, I tried to fix it. You can try the new version in the OP, but I have to say it's in beta.

    First off, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS SKIN I LOVE YOU

    Ok, now that I've cooled off... v0.5.0 is working pretty well! Seems stable, though Smart Manager is taking a little while longer to show up on startup. Might not be the skin though, maybe it's because I added it to my right click menu through the registry... Can anything be done about the Smart manager interface itself?

    Good that it seems to work stable right now.
    The slower start is because of your personal settings indeed. Right now, the modded files doesn't interfere with the SmartManager itself, but a separate container that runs the notifications.

    Hahaha yes, redesigning the full SmartManager experience is a posibillity, I wanted to start on it, but I am doubting if it is worth it or not. Since it is very time consuming, Gigabyte announced a redesign by themselves, and I am not sure how often people actually open the SmartManager to make it worth it.

    Thanks, seems to work better! No more brightness display on volume change.

    There is, however the Mute/Un Mute displayed both by windows and the overlay. I think this should also be removed.

    Yesterday I got the new version via smart update with the new red skin but the smart dashboard takes about 5 minutes to open and it has the old blaue skin. This is for sure a Software bug.

    Hey I got the update today as well...SM Version 18.0.1.7 .....attaching a screenshot for your reference..

    So glad to see there are people in this world who think the previous version looked crappy! At the same time excited to see Gigabyte being an active member on threads...

    Word of advice to Gigabyte....even though the newer version looks much much better than the previous one I think it can still be mellowed down a bit....this is an awesome laptop if you could just make the SM & SU look a bit more professional.. :) [​IMG]

    Hello! This skin looks rad, it goes well with Windows 10 UI.
    Simple question, does it work on Aero 14? Read that it doesn't modify the software but only tweaks notifications. Wondering since we don't have the same Smart Manager version.

    Would be amazing if you could update the skin for smart manager v4!
    It ruins the "Business"-look the Aero15x would otherwise have.

    That's true, the skin does not work with v4. I have the Aero 15x i7-7700HQ and Gigabyte has not updated SmartManager for my device yet (I'm still on v3). So I cannot work without supported software. When Gigabyte updates SM for my device I will definitely update the skin for v4.

    This skin looks really cool, it's exactly what I was looking for, stock skin looks like it was made in 2005. However, I have SM v4, so it doesnt work on my device. I'm really looking forward for an update!

    I saw an older post of your's that said you won't update the "mod" unless your SmartManager gets updated, however I just recently switched from an old Aero 15 and it seems that the older machines have "ended" official support in a sense.

    Now on the new Aero 15 XB, this won't work due to relaying on SmartManagerV3 when V4 is now part of the ControlCenter which combines Smart Update, SmartManager and SmartBackup.

    I have included a copy of the ControlCenter if there is anything you could do to update/make a metro theme that would be awesome since SmartMangerV4 screams even more "GAMER" than v3 did with alot of red/orange accents.
