Question in the title, just came into position of a 7520, it currently has a m1200 which I think is the 960m.
IS the m2200 and WX4150 still the kings of MXM 3.0a or has anything else been released in that form factor?

1050's have been released, I don't know by who, but they can be found on Aliexpress and Ebay. There are also P1000's and P2000's, but they are insanely difficult to find. I have seen images of a 3.0a T1000, but have yet to find anyone or company selling them.
I don't know if 1050ti's exist as every GPU listed as a "1050ti" always has the die name blurred out, and they look exactly the same as the regular 1050's, so in my mind the 1050ti's are just scams.
So to answer your question, there have been new releases but they are all difficult to find and not much better than the M2200m/965m sadly.Reciever likes this. -
I understand the logic but I would apply it in inverse. 1050 is scammy while the 1050Ti is what should be desired, just my opinion though.
Im not in any rush, just soaking in the 7520 and getting used to it being around, nice build quality but being a precision I already know I am going to hate tearing it down.
Probably just get a W4150 at some point -
I really just wish the big companies who serve other companies/business would sell stuff to individual people like us, they'd probably make a hell of a lot more money lol.

All the MXM upgrade quirks lead to many users buying incompatible cards, or buying a compatible card but not knowing how to make it run (.inf mod, move thermal pads, whatever). This leads to a lot of cards getting returned, and potentially damaged (I never receive a used card that does not have a corner broken off of the GPU die). Overall selling mxm cards is a headache. Standards were never quite followed closely enough for upgrading to really catch on like for desktops.Ashtrix, triturbo, saturnotaku and 2 others like this.

@Reciever, I managed to find this guy selling what seems to be a legit 1050ti on Ebay. Despite the die name being blurred out, you can easily make out that it says N17P-G1-A1, and not N17P-G0-A1, which means this seems to be a 1050ti. The PCB is the exact same as the 1050's but I guess its that way as both the 1050 and 1050ti have the same TDP.
Here's a link and a pic:

Not sure how it compares to 1050Ti, but maybe an RX 5500XT would work? There is a photo of one in this review. Sadly the eGPU box costs $600 new so not sure its a great deal.

More options in the recent gpu selection is always welcome, for now I'm focused on getting my gpu miner running, then repairing a m6800 I Have my 4980hq installed in then troubleshooting my precision 5820 for some reason it stopped posting on me.
Then I can focus on upgrading the 7520
