    Hi all,
Yesterday I've received my Sager NP5125 (spec as sig'd). This is a nVidia Optimus-enabled laptop. It's an awesome machine except when it comes to fulfilling my hardware monitoring hobby.

To put simple it, the problem is:
    - There is dropped keystroke when there is a switch to discrete GPU (dGPU, nVidia GT 330M) to intergrated GPU (iGPU, Intel HD graphics)
    - Riva tuner can't monitor my GPU

There are 3 HW monitoring apps I have tried
    1. HWMonitor 1.16 - definitely cause the flip flop between iGPU to dGPU. It's about 0.25s iGPU LED indicator on, and 0.75s the dGPU LED on when HWMonitor is running
HWMonitor 1.15 somehow couldn't work on this machine. It frozen up immediately as soon as it starts up

    2. GPU observer gadget
GPU Observer Gadget | Windows 7 Gadgets
This is a sidebar gadget for Windows 7. Once I dropped this gadget to Desktop, the GPU also gives the flip-floping behaviour as I can see when running HWMonitor. Dropped keystrokes also appears again.

    3. RivaTuner.
Somehow I can't monitor my GPU with this. I tried to run it with strictly nVidia GT330M but just for 1 second the LED is on dGPU indicator, and it dropped back to iGPU.
In Riva Tuner, I don't have "system information" under customize button.
It's just the same problem like this flaubert guy have here:
Rivatuner and GPU monitor gadget don't work - Windows 7 Forums
Below, I attached the snap of my Riva Tuner

Is there any optimus-enabled user here that has the same problem as I do ?

yeah i attempted to overclock this GPU and i cant figure it out why it wont work? rivatuner is not showing option to edit settings and when i edit using NVidia tools my FPS playing SC2 actually drops by 10-15 fps average after bumping up core and shader clock while keeping 2.2 ratio(700/700/1540)

Well 2 replies above are kinda irrelevant. I wanted to know if any of the optimus-enabled laptop have the same symptoms when the mentioned GPU monitor is running.

and bbuccola: Did you manage to get dGPU active all the time when the game's running?
Also, when you run rivatuner, does yours have the icon marked by red square here?
I know mine only has the 2nd and 4th icon appeared when I click customize on GT330M

Hi, i have the same problems.
Neither Hardware monitor nor any other monitoring tool can work together with optimus!
