    Can anyone help me or even link me to a thread/site that can show me how to make a laptop cooler using a 12v AC adapter? I would also like one with a fan speed control if anyone knows how to do that. Im not good with wiring and dunno where to wire ect. Thanks!

    im going to make a laptop coolerwith 4+ fans, idk how to wire them together

    my laptop is big, the 15" coolers do work for me ialready went through 2 of them, both plastic and cheap. i have an asus-g60vx, big and bulky, need a big and bulky powerful laptop cooler =P

    Have you considered one of the CoolerMaster Coolers? The notepal U2 or U3? Both have moveable and virtually silent fans. U2 does not have speed control though. May not be as high powered as you need, but sometimes go on sale for a good price and are highly durable.

    ive considered a lot of coolers, the thing is i dont want it running on a USB, makes the laptop do more work. i am also running on a budget, i just rather make my own for under 20 bucks, which runs nice, and powerful off a 12v adapter.

    There is no need for 8 80mm fans to put under lappy, I am quite sure that one 200 - 250mm fan will do the job, but if you want to go more, I would suggest you buying 4 120 and 4 channel fan controller and thats it. No need to solder or anything just connect it to some small PSU that you can jump with paper clip and you are good to go.
