There seems to be some issue with Some inter series Chipsets where when used with SSD do not perform to their full potential. I had the same issue on my new M4 ssd where it was running slower than usual even on SATA2 until It was fixed with some tweaks.

So today I bring you my SSD SpeedUp Utility which can help modify system settings to try to increase the speed of your SSD on Series 4,5,6 and 965 chipsets.

As many of you know, the JJB tweak is very popular but it requires editing registry files which many people do not like to do, with my application all modifications are done with a click of a button!.

    SSD SpeedUP Features:
    • 1 Click SSD speed fix
    • Basic SSD speed up tweaks
    • Ability to restore default settings
    • No need to mess with the registry!
    • Its free!

It took me a few days to make this but thanks to various members on various forums this has been doable. I realize that its pretty easy to apply the tweaks your self but this app is really one click and finished =).

    ISSUES
    • Increases temperature by a bit
    • Winsat Disk test only works on 64bit versions of winodws as of now. Im sure many of you use other benchmarks.

AS you can see there was a nice bump in 4K reads and writes =) and among other things the overall drive performed faster.
NOTE: The first test was done with 32GB free, the second a few weeks later with 26GB free.

So, you made an application that applied the JJB Tweak? Very cool.

Yes pretty much =) although it applies it a 100% rather than the moderate 95% and changes a few other things.
Hopefully it works Ok for you guys, I only had 2 laptops to test it on.

Does anyone else get "this application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect" when they try to run that program?

I have never received such an error before ever.

Hmm never heard of that before, do you have the VC++ distributable? Re-install it, it has probably become corrupt. Once installed/repaired reboot your system.

Cool idea, but in a future version you should give people the option to set the percentage to whatever they want. Whenever I applied the tweak manually, I never set it to 100 as that was a point of diminishing returns in terms of performance gains versus temperature increases.

I did that already and it made no difference and a system integrity (sfc scan) didn't show any errors.

The tweak is applied to all power configurations or only the current?

    Thanks

Yeah, me too - 'side by side' error.

I think the file is corrupt. Try re-uploading it.

I don't know whether you have uploaded the file again but I still get the same sidebyside error.

Yes, exactly the same issue on Win7 x64.

Re-downloaded three times, unzipped with latest WinRar and 7-zip.

    Same difference :)
