As title suggests, my laptop recently died. Screen froze while playing GTA. Now when I turn it on it briefly powers on and then shuts off and repeats this cycle till I remove battery and power lead.

I'm pretty sure its the GPU (7970M) so I wonder if anyone in UK would let me borrow a crappy old mxm GPU they have just for a few days to see if its as I suspect. I'd cover any postage costs to and from.

Also willing to collect from York area.

    Thanks!!!

Also, sorry if this is in wrong section. Wasn't sure where to post.
