I cant really find much on this topic.

I have the option for 50$ less if i take four 2GB sticks of ram rather then the other option stated in the title.

Does anyone know If there will be any kind of noticeable performance decrease if i am using 4 ram cards like this instead of just two? And would having those four ram cards produce more heat at all compared to just 2? if i get the 6990m which has high temps already i dont think i really want to be increasing the heat inside of the laptop...

I realize that having the cheaper option will make upgrading ram more expensive, so is 8gb enough if im just going to be playing games, browsing the net and watching videos? i wont be using any intensive software other then games.

8gb is all you need for gaming. heat is none issue. some people prefer to get 2 so they can upgrade to 16Gb in the future.

There is a slight overhead to using 4 sticks instead of 2. Only noticeable in benchmarks.

There should be no overhead. Seek time changes will be in picoseconds - literally unnoticeable likely to even a benchmark.
