my processor is 667fsb (Core 2 Duo - 1.86Ghz), but my current RAM is 533. When I eventually upgrade to 2 gigs of ram, should i go for the 667 (I hear that if ur fsb is 667, then so should ur RAM).

But I hear that latency occurs. Any help is much appreciated.

Yup...latency increases with frequency increases, so the performance is about the same between the two speeds. If 667 chips had a smaller latency than 5-5-5-15 that it would be a different story.

However, 667 would win out a bandwidth war (large continuous transfers of data) since latency wouldn't hit you as much.

Honestly, I'd get what is cheaper...there really isn't a difference right now between the two.
