    Hello,

I am upgrading RAM memory and looking up some brands and timings. My motherboard supports SODIMM DDR3 1066 and 1333Mhz, but 1333 timing are always bigger.
    So, which is better?

    1) PC3-8500 1066 7-7-7-20
    or
    2) PC3-10600 1333 9-9-9-24

    Thanks.

PC3-10600 1333 is the superior product (even with nominally slower timings).

However, price comes into consideration here too - if they're within a few dollars of each other the 1333 would be my choice (assuming both have lifetime warranties too...).

    Good luck.

If you can find 1600MHz RAM for the same/similar price as the 1333MHz, get that.

Your motherboard will throttle the speed down to 1333MHz, and the lower frequency will give you better timings.

My laptop supports 1333MHz but the timings were 9-9-9-25.
So i replaced them with 1600MHz which when running at 1333MHz, drops the timings down to 8-8-8-23.

For benchmarks, 1333MHz is better, even with the more relaxed timings. For real life situations, they'll perform identically.
