I am looking to upgrade my Acer one. The specs say 1.5gb Max for ram, but there is only one slot. Can I buy one stick with 1.5gb?

No, ram does not exist in a size like that. There is already ram as part of the motherboard, so that in addition to max 1GB in the slot equals 1.5GB.

Ahhhhh. That will do it. I will pop a 1 gig stick in with a new sad and fresh install of win 7. See how that works.

In your position: I would be buying a 1GB And a 2GB stick of RAM and return whichever doesn't work. ;)

    Good luck.
