Hi all,
I'm trying to look for a hard disk for my IBM X40, because my old one is shot. But this laptop uses 1.8" HDs. I'm just wondering if you guys have any good idea where to find some 1.8" hard drives that fit the X40? I think it is the IDE, correct me if I'm wrong.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks,
Sumkee

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
You can check eBay... the X40 does use a 1.8" IDE drive; but you need to get one that isn't zif. I think there's an adapter you can use to make zif drives fit, though. You can also try looking into SSDs or CF-SSDs if you don't want to go for a traditional spinner.

The drives are definitely a bit overpriced if you ask me... -
try getting a SSD...
way better performance...
sucks about the small slow drive...
