    i'm planning to bought x18-m since i had a good deal on it , but theres a problem . i need to fit this thing on my macbook pro and the some 1.8" to 2.5" enclosures are quite expensive . is there any cheaper alternatives that i can get?

    Will any of these adapters work with the 2.5" bays that have a 7mm height? Like the bay on the x220/T420s?

    Would work if you remove the outer shell encasing and only use the converter/adapter plug. In which case might as well go the cheap "plug-only" ebay option.
