I own the DELL XTthat carries a 1.8 HD with ZIF/PATA connection..

I won a Intel 1.8 SSD that has the microsata connection. through these forums i purchased the SONY Adaptor (part# A1706718A). Wide end fits perfectly into the microSATA of the SSD BUT the smaller connection doesnt fit the ZIF/PATA Female on the system board.

Does anyone know if there is an adaptor I can buy to make this end fit to a ZIF/PATA connection?

Does anyone know what type of connection this is??

    thank you!

The ZIF end is a proprietory Sony Part. Adapting that will be quite challenging, if at all possible. For that reason I'd suggest selling the Intel SSD + adapter and investing in a US$200 64GB Renice K3VLAR ZIF SSD. The overall result will be a faster SSD and likely cheaper too.
