1080p and 120Hz input over VGA, DVI, HDMI?

From Wikipedia, I got the max specs as:
    2048×1536px @85 Hz (388 MHz) for VGA.
    (1,920 × 1,200) @ 60 Hz for DVI
    (2,048 × 1,536) @ 75 Hz for Dual DVI
Can't find specs of resolution/refresh rate for HDMI 1.3a, although I think it might be similar to Dual DVI.

All of the specs above are lower than 120Hz, but they all have max resolutions higher than 1080p, so I think that might compensate. The problem is I don't know how much compensation is needed for 120Hz. Can these cables (VGA, DVI, and HDMI 1.3a) support 1080p and 120Hz input, say to computer monitor or 3DTV?

As an afterthought...I can't believe that VGA reigns supreme over even Dual DVI....

It's a matter of bandwidth - you can either do the math yourself or just Google your desired connector, resolution, refresh rate, and the word "support".

Also, DVI is old - DisplayPort beats everything hands down, including VGA.

The video component of HDMI is the same as single link DVI.

120hz needs twice the bandwidth of 60hz.

So if you can do 1920x1080 at 60hz, you can do roughly 1366x768 at 120hz for the same bandwidth.

I did a little searching around, and I think only HDMI can do 120hz at 1080.

If HDMI can do it, then DVI can too.

Well it depends on which HDMI and which DVI spec is being used, but they are pretty much the same.
