Looking to get a 1080p replacement for my cracked 15.6" 768p Model LTN156AT30-T01

    Any suggestions?

I believe, I will also need a new cable for 1080p to work.

Im gonna hijack this thread and im searching for the same
Laptop model is a 8560P and it has 768 lcd which has REALLY REALLY bad contrast and gamma( believe it's a defective screen)
So I was thinking of buying an LVDS 2ch cable but I dont know which screen tough

Sorry, but you're going to have to do your own research. Here's a list of 15.6" 1080p screens to peruse through: http://www.panelook.com/sizmodlist....=desc&sizes[]=15.6&resolution_pixels=19201080

Look for ones with good viewing angles, high contrast ratio, and a color gamut > 70% NTSC (in that priority). Antiglare vs glare comes down to your preference.

Beware of physical and electrical compatibility. Newer screens use eDP connectors which is not compatible with LVDS. Unfortunately most of the better screens use eDP. Also make sure that the physical dimensions and mounting match.

There's someone from LaptopScreens.com who frequents these forums (username LSB), so maybe PM that person for help too.

Alright I got my 1366*768 out of the laptop the screen is a "LTN156AT30-T01" which I think is compatible with a 1920*1080 "N156HGE-LB1" screen.

Is this possible and what if any lvds cables would I need?
