How long do these batteries last? And can anyone post like a table that shows the batteries names and how long they last?
-
What system(s) are you talking about? And what would you be doing with them?
I'm moving this over to the Hardware Forum. -
yeh the question is a bit vague. It depends on the whole computer and the tasks you are doing. If its just processing it will last far longer then if you are gaming.
You roughly get slightly under half of a 6 cell tho. -
I have a 12 cell on my laptop. For normal usage (ie. word prosessing and surfing the internet) I get around 3.5-4 hours. However I have my screen set on the highest light setting.

trying to judge battery life by the # of cels doesn't work because different manufacturers have different capacity cels so there is no way to compare.
maybe you should rephrase your question so that it is straightforward and less cryptic. -
yeah, it also depends on the processor and the speed of the hard drive. I have a Core solo processor and I get about an hour more battery life than the same model with a Core duo.
-
Yeah, I agreed. Different computers are not going to be the same. Like me, I also have 12 cell battery, however 4 hrs max (lowest brightness and just typing notes/document); and 2-3 hrs for wifi

3h on my laptop with lowest brightness possible and watching a movie..

I get 3 to 3 1/2 hours on a 6 cell battery in my Satellite. No gaming just surfing and watching live video streaming.
-
When using my 12 cell I have WiFi on, the brightness 2 levels below the brightest, and usually just casually surfing and stuff. nothing too intensive. I get around 4-5 hours while undervolted, possibly more.

I have a 12 cell battery in my laptop, but it's over three years old and a P4 system. So, at best I get about 3.5 hours out of it. When it was brand new, it obviously got more when I had all my settings properly tweaked.
