Hi there, I'm performing an extensive modification of my MSI Wind12 U230 in which I'm removing the keyboard, and flipping the display over onto the body to create a tablet. The only problem I'm having with finding the parts that I need is that it seems like no one on the entire internet sells a 12.1-inch CAPACITIVE touch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, I'm only able to find tactile ones.

Alternatively, if anyone can think of the best way to have a button attached to the side of my eventual tablet that will act as a "trigger" for the right click (i.e. Press a button on the side of the tablet, next touch will be a right click). This will allow me to use a tactile touch screen without much of a hassle.

As someone with a fair bit of experience here, I can tell you that you are going to have a seriously hard time finding a 12.1" 16:9 aspect ratio capacitive overlay. The reason for this is simply that, 16:9 is a terrible aspect ratio for tablets. More or less all tablets with screen size 12" or less have a 16:10 aspect ratio. The button idea would probably work but i imagine it would become quite annoying to use.

This. The iPad has probably the best ratio for everything tablet (except for viewing movies, I'd guess), 4:3

Tap and hold should do a right-click for a tablet in Windows if that might work for you.

Why is 16:9 such a terrible ratio for tablets? That's the only place I find them excusable, when you can turn the tablet 90* and have a pretty long web/print page.

Too narrow for most people. Have you tried a 16:10 tablet (like the Transformer or Xoom) vs the iPad? It is a noticeable difference to me.

Plus not enough vertical real estate in horizontal mode once you consider the space you lose to an onscreen keyboard or handwriting window.
